Mr. Steve Taylor - K-8 Music

My name is Steven Taylor and I am really excited to be here passing on my wealth of music and theatre knowledge to the students. I am originally from New York City. I moved out here to Las Vegas in October of 2020. I have been involved with theatre and music for nearly my entire life. I have musically directed many shows from community theatre to professional cabaret theatre in NYC, to musically directing two off-broadway benefit shows. I have about 20 years of experience teaching music. I have taught music to children, teenagers, and adults of any age. On top of teaching music and musically directing, I have also directed a few shows, worked backstage, and I am also a songwriter.

6th Grade – In 6th grade, we will focus on learning about music and composers of the Classical Era of Music (around 1750 to around 1820) as well as how to play to play guitar at a beginner’s level.

7th Grade – In 7th, we will focus on learning about music and composers of the Romantic Era of Music (around 1820 to around 1910) as well as how to play the ukulele at a beginner’s level.
